Holden HK 1969 Utility

The Body

The body is rough but solid and has no rust apparent. I suppose Icould find some somwhere. The bonnet and offside door and the nearside front guard belong to the HT model. There are some bog patches, but in general, the body is good apart from the dents and scratches.

The colour is Kiewa Grey. This was the colour used by the State Electricity Commision

Gas cap and petrol cap are lockable. The door locks work and have a key.

The mirrors are after market and I painted them black.

6" rims - Unfortunately they are not original HK rims. The spare is. The rims fitted look like HT/G. Tyres are RWC

Nice shiny hubcaps

There is a ding on the bottom nearside front fender

I had too buy a grill for it as it was missing when I got it. I havent been able to justify the exhorbatant value for a new plastic badge for the centre.

Bumper has a few minor dents.

I painter the bonnet and tailgate black because it looks cool
You can see the underside of the tub floor here. The steel looks like new.

Aftermarket sway bar

See the exhaust system from here

Over riders on the leaf springs

Also, someone has welded a bolt to the diff plug. Bush mechanic?

Green shocks seem to work well

We had to patch the tonneau. We put a strip across the back and some new loops. The rest of the tonneau is good.
